Project Description
DefendDefenders, also known as the East and Horn of Africa Human Rights Defenders Project, is dedicated to empowering human rights defenders (HRDs) in the East and Horn of Africa sub-region.
Through strategic online campaigns, we have empowered DefendDefenders to amplify their advocacy for the human rights of human rights defenders in Africa. By focusing on digital security, online rights, and internet safety practices, our campaigns have effectively raised awareness and mobilized support for their cause. Moreover, we have actively campaigned against censorship imposed by tech players and governments, ensuring that voices advocating for human rights are heard and protected in the digital sphere.
