MAMA Network

The MAMA Network is a driving force behind a regional movement focused on delivering evidence-based, stigma-free information about self-managed medical abortion and sexual and reproductive health and rights directly to women at the grassroots level.

In collaboration with The MAMA Network, we provided digital consultancy services to support the Mama Sophia App activations in Kenya and Nigeria. This innovative app serves as a comprehensive resource for sexual and reproductive health information, while also functioning as a period tracker.

However, little was known about its features and usage. During our two-month campaign from March to May 2022, the Mama Sophia app garnered significant traction. It was downloaded by over 100 individuals, and our organic Twitter audience grew to 155 followers from scratch. Additionally, our app launch event on Twitter Spaces attracted 177 participants.
